Dedicated server review: serverpronto.com

This is so far the cheapest dedicated server I've ever seen, like they say "The World's Most Affordable Dedicated Server".

The starter kit comprises an AMD 2000+ CPU, 256 MB DDR RAM, 40 GB hard drive, 200 GB traffic and 100 Mbps connection only for $29.95 per month plus $69 for the setup fee which unfortunately is a limited time offer ($149 is the usual setup fee). Further packages include Power, Power Plus, Pro Power, Pro Power Plus and Xtreme Power with increasing hardware and network performance to suit the needs of any hosting company.

On top of that, the available operating system flavors include Linux (Red Hat 9, Fedora Core 1, 2, 3, Debian 3.1, Suse, Gentoo, CentOS 3.4, 4.0), BSD (FreeBSD 4.9, 5.3, OpenBSD 3.6), Windows 2000 Server (Standard, Advanced) and Windows 2003 Server (Web Edition, Standard, Enterprise). Popular web based control panels like Webmin, Plesk, cPanel and Helm are also featured.

If you're short on money and need a dedicated server this is certainly a good choice, however if you don't need all the processing and storing capacity of a real host search the web for a good virtual hosting solution.
